Fungus is fleshy plant, usually above the soil surface or on a food source.
Standard for the name “mushroom” is cultivated white mushroom, button-shaped and the word is most often used for mushrooms that have root, stem and cap.
Many species of mushrooms seemingly appear overnight, growing and spreading very quickly.
Edible mushrooms are often used in cooking in many kitchens of the world.
Many of them are rich in fiber and are source of vitamins such as thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, biotin, ascorbic acid (vitamin C).
Most of about 30 000 species of mushrooms scattered around the world are edible and less than 1% are fatally poisonous.
Dried mushroom powder, granules or flakes are used in food industry in production of instant soups and various sauces.
