Full cream milk powder
Milk powder is a dairy product made by evaporating milk.
One purpose of milk drying is preserving as milk powder has much longer shelf life than liquid milk and it does not need to be cooled.
Another purpose is reducing the volume which makes it more economical to transport over long distances.
Milk powder is produced in two basic varieties: full-fat and skimmed.
The difference between these 2 types is in content of milk fat – until the whole contains max. 26 % fat, skimmed milk powder contains from 1,0 to 1,5 % fat.
It has wide application in food industry, from production of food for infants, desserts (such as chocolate and caramel candy) to the bakery industry.
